Updating Your First Aid Qualifications

All new and renewing registrants must have a current Level 2 First Aid and CPR qualification.

• Level 2 First Aid (must be updated every 3 years)
• CPR (must be updated every 12 months)

Level 2 First Aid is also known as:

1. Apply First Aid
2. Workplace Level 2
3. Sports First Aid
4. Senior First Aid.

If you have a relevant workplace first aid qualification a First Aid Certificate is not required. You must provide evidence of your workplace qualification with your application. Evidence accepted is either:

• letter on letterhead from your employer stating your position e.g. police officer, nurse, paramedic, fire fighter, etc
• workplace identification

To keep your registration and insurance cover valid, we require evidence that your First Aid and/or CPR qualification is current. Remember to forward a copy of your certificate to Physical Activity Australia when it is updated.
