Kinect Australia has a new name – Physical Activity Australia. We believe our new name makes it easier for people to understand what we are about. We also have a new simple, but ambitious vision: Every day, every Australia, physically active. This is what our work is all about and thank you for being part of the team helping Australians get active.
Has Kinect Australia gone out of business?
We have simply changed our name to Physical Activity Australia. This name is a far better reflection of what we do, as we go into our 30th year of registering and supporting exercise professionals and promoting physical activity. As Physical Activity Australia we will continue to engage widely with fitness and exercise professionals and industry to ensure appropriate professional development underpins both registration and daily practice.
I still have some time until my Kinect Australia registration expires; what happens to this registration?
If you are an existing Kinect Australia registrant your registration will remain current until the expiry date that is stated on your registration certificate, so you don’t need to do anything. You will renew your registration, as per current requirements, with Physical Activity Australia. You are now able to pay online and download an application at www.physicalactivityaustralia.org.au.
Do I need a new certificate?
Your registration will remain current until your registration expiry date (as stated on your certificate), so you don’t need to do anything. When you renew your registration, you will be provided with a Physical Activity Australia registration certificate.
Is my insurance going to be affected?
JLT Sport is aware of our name change and will be assimilating this change in to its business processes. Your insurance will remain the same. Remember your insurance coverage is only valid if your registration is up to date.
Why am I still receiving correspondence from Kinect Australia?
We anticipate that it will take twelve months to roll out the name change to all our registrants, contacts and suppliers. During this time you may receive information and updates from Kinect Australia or Physical Activity Australia; they are both the same organisation.
