- Am I able to practice outdoor?
You can practice outdoor if you have completed Certificate 4 in Fitness, have a business number, hold current insurance (please have look at your insurance policies) and have a permit from your local council.
- Am I able to run my PT program in my home studio?
The following non-essential services and businesses are now restricted from opening gyms and indoor sporting venues, religious gatherings, places of worship or funerals (in enclosed spaces and other than very small groups and where the 1 person per 4 square metre rule applies) – see link below.
Other facilities are not restricted at this time and should follow the social distancing and health advice. The Government is considering what further restrictions that may be necessary, and what is an essential service, and will provide further advice at that time”. Isolated remote community hubs are also not included in these restrictions.
More information from your state or territory:
- How many people can I can train outdoors?

Also, at this stage, the Department of Health has stated a “very small groups and where the 1 person per 4 square metre rule applies”.
- My CPR and First Aid has been expired, and I cannot renew it because of this pandemic, is this effecting my insurance or my registration?
PAA is working very closely with the insurance and first aid providers to create a policy that can help our members through this disaster. We will notify you through a direct email if there is any update in this regard. We believe there will be a grace period granted but have no detail around this as yet.
