Word of wisdom from sales expert, Steve Jensen


Steve Jensen is the founder and CEO of Impact Training Corporation (ITC). ITC is a Sales training organisation that helps businesses and individuals to grow their sales and leadership skills.

As business owners, managers and leaders, we are always looking for the best way to increase our sales.

At a basic level, effective sales strategy is about knowing your unique selling point, having a marketing plan and implementing some new ideas to support that.

From Steve’s perspective, operating with an effective sales model and sharing the key performance indicators (KPIs) with the team is critical to successfully selling your product or services. It is important to know what you are measuring, as well as what your measurements are on a daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly basis.

For example; are you measuring the number of sales or the amount of income?

Once you measure these, you know the budget and the number of sales required daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly. The next step is to share your KPIs with your team members, so everyone knows the target and what they can do in their role to increase sales.
